Condition

Overall very good condition. The shade displays a rich and vibrant color palette; when viewed firsthand the oranges are slightly more subtle and nuanced in tone, and the yellows are slightly less green as compared to the printed catalogue illustrations. The tulips are beautifully rendered in vigorously mottled glass to articulate the dimensionality of the blossoms and the sun-dappling effects of light seen in nature. The shade with approximately 12 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, which have been sensitively stabilized by a professional glass conservator. The shade with some extremely light surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The base is in very good condition and displays a deep green patina with occasional minor surface scratches, abrasions, and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle handling. All of the sockets and paddle switches appear to be period. With a period finial in very good condition. A stunning example of this model displaying a beautiful spring-like color palette and highly nuanced glass selection.
