Overall very good condition. All of the turtle-back tiles appear original and undisturbed and display luminous jewel tone hues when viewed firsthand. The caming surrounding the turtle-backs with some light surface soiling and oxidation consistent with age and use. The patinated bronze displays with an exceptionally rich brown patina, with minor surface scratches, abrasions, discolorations, and light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design consistent with age and use. The planter with a replaced custom liner. A very charming and rare work by the firm with fantastic scale and sculptural presence. This object presents beautifully in person and would make for a spectacular and usable planter on stand.
