The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This work has an old glue lining, which is stabilizing the paint layer without affecting the heavy impasto throughout. There is some restoration down the right edge which fluoresces normally. There is also a band of very fluorescent paint in the background on the right above the table top and another along the left edge, which do not seem to be retouching. There is a 1 ½ inch restoration in the tabletop on the right side, and a few retouches in the lower right corner on the right edge. There are a series of small retouches running across the dress of the figure through her knees into her right hand, where there are slightly more retouches. There are no retouches in the face, torso or arms. The restoration is very good, and the paint layer is very fresh. The work should be hung as is.
