拍品資料及來源

This work was first produced in Prague in 1921 and then in London and New York in 1922. The play introduced the word robot into the English language, from the Czech robota, which refers to the feudal system under which peasants were required to work for their lords without recompense. In modern Czech it is used to describe work which is dull or very routine.
