Henry Bond (c.1600-1678), whose ownership inscription is on the endpaper, was a teacher of mathematics, navigation and surveying in London, author of a book on longitude (1676), editor of The Seamans Kalendar and of the posthumous works of Samuel Foster and of Edmund Gunter.
