Manzoni was a professional book-keeper, who taught penmanship, abacus and book-keeping. The printer's name, Comin da Trino, appears on the title to the second part. All the title-pages of the individual parts are dated 1573, and this is probably a reissue of that edition with the general title altered to 1574.
