  • Sixteenth-century Italian calligraphic manuscript of arithmetical and accounting tables, dated Como, 1577
including the sections "Modo di fare diverse ragioni di tramutare una valuta in l'altra", "Le prattiche d'affinare oro e arg[en]to", with illustrated tables with decorative titles "Figurare di numerar", "Multiplicar per scachero", bearing the attribution and dating "nella scuolla de Alvigio Campatio in Como l'anno MDLXXVII", without a title page and possibly incomplete at end folio (257 x 190mm.), 119 leaves, unpaginated, anchor watermarks in the first half of the volume (cf. Briquet 484-496), dated 1577 on f.51 and 1578 on f.2, contemporary limp vellum, old flyleaf at end, paper-loss to corners and some worming restored throughout, slightly affecting the text near lower margins, browning towards the end of the volume, recased with new liners and stitching, covers stained and restored
