拍品資料及來源

Valéry's poem, translated from the French into English by Mark Wardle, is here introduced by T.S. Eliot. The volume is signed by Wardle, Eliot and Valéry. Above these signatures is a presentation inscription from André Gide's English translator (and estranged wife of the Daily Mail owner Lord Rothermere), Lillian Rothermere, to André Gide. A typed address label for Gide is loosely inserted.
