each painted with prunus on a black ground, the ormolu mounts at rim and foot connected by a hinged strap cast with a lion mask and set with a ring handle

Condition

The porcelain of one with drilled at the base with 3 associated short hairlines radiating from the aperture. with the mount on the foot slightly mis-shapen. The porcelain of the other similarly drilled at the base, with a V shaped section out at the rim measuring approx. 4 in. in length (currently loose) with associated losses to the exterior, also with associated long hairlines extending from the original break across the base and up the other side of the jardinière. There is a further crack to the foot, with the piece possibly detached, measuring approx. 1 7/8 in. in length. The mount in overall good condition. Both jardinières with wear and firing imperfections. Porcelain not unmounted for inspection.
