  • length of teapot 8 1/4 in.; 21 cm
comprising: a teapot and cover painted with the arms of Hansard (?) inscribed with the motto INTEGER VITAE; a saucer with the arms of Guthrie (?); a saucer with the arms of Englefield (?) and the center with a gilt cipher EP (or possibly EF); a coffee cup with the arms of Strong impaling Raymond; a teabowl and saucer with the arms of Forbes with motto inscribed MON DEEST SPES; a teabowl with the monogram SPC decorated en grisaille and gold, 8 pieces

Condition

The coffee cup with a restored rim chip, the teabowl with Forbes arms with small restored rim chips, and the accompanying saucer with a triangular section measuring approx. 1/2 in. and some restored rim frits. Teapot with a chip to the underside of spout measuring approx. 1/4 in. across, as well as a chip to one side of the handle, measuring 3/8 in. in length. All other pieces in overall good condition, and all pieces with minor wear and rubbing to some of the gilding, and minor firing imperfections.
