each piece painted with the arms of Hardwicke, comprising a chamfered rectangular soup tureen and cover, a pair of 15 7/8 -inch chamfered rectangular platters, a pair of 14 3/8 -inch platters, a pair of 12 3/4 -inch platters, a pair of 10-inch platters, a pair of 9 5/8 -inch platters, four sauce boats, fifteen octagonal soup plates and seventeen octagonal plates, 48 pieces

Condition

All in good condition except: The tureen cover with restoration to the base of the knop. One 10-in platter with a small restored chip to one corner. One sauce boat with a small chip to the inside of the rim, and another sauce boat with a frit to the lower terminus of the handle. All soup plates with restored rim chips and one with a glaze line to the center on the underside. 14 dinner plates with restored rim chips, 1 with rim chips and a hairline, 1 with restored rim chips, hairlines and a small area of loss and one entirely covered with overspray and extent of damage unknown. All pieces with minor nicks, wear and flaking to the enamels and gilding, and firing imperfections.
