INSCRIBED and SIGNED by GORDON COOPER: "From my Apollo Notebook & files, GORDON COOPER, Apollo X B. U. CDR." Additionally SIGNED and INSCRIBED: “BUZZ ALDRIN, CM107, Apollo XI; ALAN BEAN, CM 108, Apollo 12; WALT CUNNINGHAM, CM 101 Apollo 7; CHARLES M. DUKE, JR., CM 113 Apollo 16; FRED HAISE, CSM 109 Apollo 13; EDGAR MITCHELL, CM110 Apollo 14; TOM STAFFORD, CM 104 Apollo X; and AL WORDEN, CM 112 Apollo 15."

The two large drawings of the interior Command Module (CM) are labeled: “Section D-D, LKG (Looking) OUTBD (Outboard) at LH (Left Hand) EQUIP (Equipment) BAY.” and “Section E-E, LKG AT RH (Right Hand) EQUIP BAY.” The CM’s two large side windows and docking tunnel are shown plus numerous storage locations and panels. Focus is on the potential fire dangers due to Velcro placements and exposed wiring. Four major areas have a block label that reads: “Fire Potential, Communication Cable (and other wiring areas), Velcro patches.” The Apollo 1 fire caused a major re-examination of flammable material and areas throughout the CM with corrections implemented prior to resuming manned flights with Apollo 7 in October 1968.
