the pearl and paste decorated section of the oklad probably later, with obscured marks, with partially visible assayer's mark for Feodor Petrov
Condition
The painting covered with old darkened varnish. Some minor flaking and some spot of damage to the painting due to the oklad friction. The oklad consisting of two parts, the seed pearl section being separate. The silver oklad with areas of gilding loss visible in the catalogue photo. The lower edge of the oklad with an old repair, partially obscuring the hallmarks.
