Acquired by the family of the present owners in Moscow in the 1970s

There is a loss to the lower right corner which also has a tear and associated flecks of paint loss. There is some minor paint loss to the lower left corner, a small area of paint loss to the lower right edge and in a few places to the edges elsewhere. There are some scratches to the surface which show up white in places throughout, including the lower left quartile, the upper right corner and in places across the central vessel. There is a lighter stain in the upper left corner and an area of discolouration to the paint surface in the centre of the lower edge. There is a small area with scattered spots of media staining to the lower left edge of the table. UV light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a wooden frame behind plexiglass. Unexamined out of frame.
