one signed in Cyrillic and dated '64' l.l., the other signed in Cyrillic and dated '63' l.m.ink and charcoal on paper, one with watercolorIn the 1960s Rabin was closely associated with the Lianozovo group, an underground art colony based in former camp barracks. In 1964 Rabin moved to a cooperative apartment on Bolshaya Cherkizovskaya street № 8. Among the residents of the street was the prominent dissident poet and art collector Alexander Glezer, with whom Rabin organised the 1974 Bulldozer Exhibition, a pivotal event in the history of unofficial Soviet art.

Condition

The sheets have both slightly discolored, are slightly undulated and have a layer of light surface dirt. Held in simple black wooden frames behind plexiglass. Unexamined out of frames.
