A similar example to the offered lot sold Sotheby's New York, 6 June 2007, lot 61, ($18,000 including premium). The two works differ however in that the present lot has the paired half medallions to the right and left of the field and the charming inclusion of birds in the blue border and in the central medallions. There also appears to be a broader range of more lucid colours in the offered lot.
