Overall measurements: 108cm across the top, 106cm across the bottom, 403cm the left hand side, 393cm the right hand side. Robust weave. Heavy duty cotton wefts. Dense pile, generally between 6 and 10mm in depth, with some areas slightly lower 2-3 mm in abrash of the field (blue/green slightly oxidised). Area of some oxidisation/wear, where knot-bars visible in lower 1/3 about 30cm from the bottom row of boteh. Some minor areas of wear to knot bars in upper border. Lower end with losses to original flatweave which varies in depth from approximately 2cm to 2-3mm, with area of reweave and repair, approximately 10cm, at widest point, irregularly shaped, 3cm at deepest, just into outer yellow guard. Trimmed warp fringes. Ends not secured. Might benefit from little bit of attention. Side cords have had some later rewrapping and some areas of loose cording (benefit from some attention). Upper end with cotton flatweave, about 4cm in depth, with some restorations.Slight nibbles to corners of flatweave (would benefit from some stabilising). Piece sits well on floor as is quite heavy.
