The text on the present lot is a poem in praise of Kirman carpets, the last couple contains: ‘The lady becomes a singer (poet?)’, other inscriptions including: shi’r az doctor shurideh, 'Poems by Dr Khasi (?) Shurideh' (unidentified), baft-e abu’l-hadi, ‘Woven by Abu’l-Hadi’, tarh az mir qara’i (?), ‘Design by Mir Qara’i (?)’
