Of floral design, set with an oval yellow sapphire weighing 11.99 carats, the petals set with cushion-shaped and circular-cut diamonds, detachable brooch fitting, two small diamonds deficient.

Given to Marie Anne of Austria, Princess Elie de Bourbon-Parme (1882-1940) by her mother, Princess Isabelle de Croÿ, Archduchess Frédéric of Austria (1856-1931) on the occasion of her own 70^th birthday in 1926.

Accompanied by GGTL report number 17-G-14794, stating that the oval yellow sapphire, weighing 11.99 carats, measuring 14.06 x 11.43 x 8.20 mm, is of Ceylon origin with no indications of heating. Mounted in silver, and 14 and 18 carat gold. Yellow sapphire of medium saturation, with typical surface reaching inclusions, abrasions, nicks and minor chips. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 12.00 - 14.00 carats, on average J-K colour, SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount, two small diamonds deficient. Signs of wear to the metal commensurate with age and evidence of tarnish. Clasp secure. In overall good condition. Total gross weight approximately 24 grams. Detachable brooch fitting. Two small diamonds deficient.
