描述

The ring set with cushion-shaped rubies, accented with single-cut and rose diamonds, size 51, six small diamonds deficient; the dress set comprising a pair of cufflinks and two dress studs, each set with cushion-shaped synthetic rubies, highlighted with single-cut diamonds, Austrian assay mark for gold and maker's marks, fitted case stamped F. Halder.

The ring was given by Infanta Isabelle, Princess of Asturias, Countess of Girgenti (1851-1931), daughter of Queen Isabella II of Spain and her husband Francis, Duke of Cádiz, wife of Prince Gaëtan, Count of Girgenti, for the wedding of Archduchess Marie Anne of Austria to Prince Elie de Bourbon Parme in 1903. Condition

The ring: rubies purplish red, of medium saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, heavily abraded and scratched. The metal with evidence of scratches consistent with wear. Signs of tarnish to the inner upper part of the shank. Six diamonds deficient. The dress set: Austrian assay mark for 14 carat gold and maker's marks. Synthetic rubies, minor scratches to the facet edge. Diamonds bright and lively. Some scratches to the metal consistent with use. In good condition. Fitted case stamped F. Halder. Total gross weight approximately 17 grams.
