描述

The pocket watch dial applied with white enamel, framed with single-cut diamonds, the reverse pavé-set with cushion-shaped and circular-cut rubies highlighted with a fleur de lys motif set with similarly-, single-cut and rose diamonds, signed Mermod Frères, and a gold locket engraved Robert and Charles and opening to reveal photographs of the four eldest children of Archduchess Marie Anne of Austria and Prince Elie de Bourbon Parme: Elisabeth (1904-1983), Charles (1905-1912), Marie Françoise (1906-1994) and Robert (1909-1974).

The pocket watch was given to Archduchess Marie Anne of Austria, Princess Elie de Bourbon Parme (1882-1940) by her father, Archduke Frédéric of Austria (1856-1936). The gold locket picturing the four eldest children or Prince and Princess Elie de Bourbon Parme is a gift from Prince Elie to his wife Princess Marie Anne. 

Condition

Please note we do not guarantee watch movements. Keyless winding cylinder watch movement in running condition at time of cataloguing but intermittent and in need of service. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of its time keeping and therefore a service should be carried out in the near future at the buyer's expense. In good overall condition, the dial with some light scratching. The case in good condition. The locket with scratches to the metal and the glass with evidence of age. Total gross weight approximately 40 grams.
