Ruby, rock crystal and diamond parasol handle and an amethyst, rock crystal and diamond perfume bottle, circa 1900
The parasol handle composed of rock crystal, the top pavé-set with circular-cut rubies and rose diamonds, measuring approximately 52 x 22 x 15mm, one small diamond deficient, the perfume bottle of carved rock crystal set at the top with a trefoil shaped amethyst, within a rose diamond frame, measuring approximately 68 x 18 x 16mm.
The parasol handle was given by Ernest de Ligne, Prince de Ligne, Prince d’Amblise et Epinoy (1857-1937) to Archduchess Marie-Anne of Austria (1882-1940) and Prince Elie de Bourbon- Parme(1880-1959) on the occasion of their wedding in 1903.
