描述
- 23cm., 9 1/8 in. high
the scalloped sex-foil chased with foliate lobate ornament, elongated foliate sheet scrollwork stem, on a foliate chased lobed circular foot, 21.9cm., 8 5/8 in. high; with a German parcel-gilt silver fruit-shaped cup and cover, probably Hanns Winkler of Nuremberg, circa 1610, the body and cover chased with foliate strapwork, later replaced openwork scrolling stem, on a foliate chased domed circular foot
Condition
Standing cup - Clear marks and assay-scrapes to rim of bowl. The foot with assay scrape and maker's mark only. Gilding has most probably been refreshed. No obvious repairs. Leans to one side. Fruit-shaped cup - The cover rim stamped with makers mark only, town mark possibly lost at point of old repair. Body and foot both fully marked. Finial is absent and the stem is a later replacement. The chased decoration is quite worn throughout. An interesting project.
