Condition

Overall in good condition and of good appearance with some minor chipping to the foot rims of the smaller jars visible. Two larger jars: are slightly different in height and diameter, one is more unevenly thrown and glazed around the rim and interior of the rim. It has two very minor chips to the underside edge foot rim, slight rubbing to gilt rim and some minor rubbing to the decoration on the lower part. The other larger example is more unevenly thrown. The rim has been wiped clear of glaze at the time of manufacture giving it a rougher surface, possibly to have a liner or a metal mount added. There is a small chip to the edge of the foot rim and several small patches of wear to the edge of the foot. Slight rubbing to gilding in general, the underglaze blue is paler and with more flowing especially noticeable to the border and overall the iron-red enamels are weaker. There is a firing crack extending 2/3 of the circumference of the interior foot rim. Two smaller examples: again of slightly different sizes. The slightly taller example has two shallow foot rim chips next to each other (20mmx10mm and the further small foot rim chip 8mmx5mm), light rubbing to gilding and slight discolouration to glaze of the lower part from the time of manufacture. The other small example with chipping to foot rim in particular to an area (25mm wide x 8mm deep), the other notable foot rim chip (6mm x 4mm). Very light rubbing to gilt rim.
