3¼-inch dial with engine turned centre and enamel chapter ring signed Franz Mayer in Wien, the 4-train movement verge escapement, the plain brass balance mounted on the backplate, chain fuse to the going train, standing barrels to the striking trains and alarm, grande sonnerie striking on two gongs, the alarm train acting on a bell, the drum case surmounted by a pair of love birds and all enclosed within an arched cage; with original leather travelling case,

Condition

Enamel chapter ring has chips at 3 and 9 and hair crack between 4 and 5. Movement appears to be complete but is dirty and not running, fusee chain and set up wheel detached, main spring probably broken, it will require cleaning, repair and service, loose in case. Case is rather dirty but appears to retain much of the original gilding. Travelling case with old scuffs and marks throughout. With a winder.
