the malachite veneered casket with an interior fitted with alabaster, 13cm. high, 26cm. wide, 15cm. deep, 5in., 10¼in., 6in. together with a Napoleon III gilt-bronze and cloisonné enamel casket, 11cm. high, 20cm. wide, 10cm. deep, 4½in., 8in., 8in.
Condition
Both in overall good condition. The malachite veneered casket with an interior fitted with alabaster: Gilding to interior and exterior top edges of mount with old marks and scratches, slightly tarnished in some areas. Interior fitted with alabaster with old marks and scratches and two shallow chips to the left handside. Exterior malachite surface: with two very minor chips to top left handside at the back, some chipping to front right and left edges. A Napoleon III gilt-bronze and cloisonné enamel casket: interior and exterior mount with minor old marks and scratches to gilding, tarnished in some areas. Enamel with very minor old marks and scratches. Right side panel slightly out of place, however securely fixed. One key. Both caskets are decorative and ready to place and use.
