the first of oval form, the sitter depicted in a dark coat, white waistcoat and a black stock, later gilt-metal frame, 4.2cm.; the second signed: P de Pommayrac, depicting Louis Napoléon in a blue coat and a lace-edged white chemise, gold frame, 4cm.

Condition

The miniature: slightly faded, some spidery dry mould on coat; the second: the miniature with minor water-staining at margin at 8.30 to 9.30 (not visible when held at certain angles), the glass is diseased and should be replaced.
