  • 24.5cm. high, 34cm. wide, 20cm. deep, 9 3/4in., 13 1/2in., 8in.
decorated with the Freyberg coat-of-arms and monogrammed IF VFB, and at the back with A.7.7.5.

Condition

In country house condition. Generally with losses, minor chips, old marks and scratches to gilding and paint, consistent with age and use. The gilt-bronze border mount in the front is detached. Front: Top left foliate gilt-bronze mount is loose, but is securely fixed to casket. The tip of the coat-of-arms is detached. The left eagle's foot is missing. The front left claw and ball foot is missing one claw. Similarly, the back left claw and ball foot is missing one claw. Key is missing, however the casket is open and images of the inside may be requested to the furniture department.
