comprising one mahogany sofa with carved giltwood female busts armrests, one walnut settee with carved giltwood dolphin armrests, two walnut side chairs, a walnut armchair and a set of four dining chairs, covered in a striped light pink and beige silk upholstery, and a circular mahogany center table

Condition

In overall good condition, with very minor signs of restoration. Minor old marks and scratches to slightly tarnished gilding, consistent with age and use. Minor chips, old marks and scratches to veneer. Settee: Scratches and losses to gilding. Armchair: minor cracks Side chair A: gilt-bronze mounts at the bottom of the seat rail: lifting, one loss (about 7cm. long, 2 3/4in.) to left handside, one loss to right handside (about 8.5cm. long, 3 1/4in.); loose front legs Side chair B: slightly unstable, restoration to right tip of backrest, horizontal crack and loss on seat rail, right handside. Dining chair A: small repair to seat rail on the right handside; missing most of the gilt-bronze mount on the bottom of the seat rail Dining chair B: minor cracks and scratches, one small lost on right handside of backrest Dining chair C: slightly unstable due to construction movement and use, one loss to gilt-bronze mount on the bottom of the seat rail (7cm. long, 2 3/4n.) Dining chair D: two losses to gilt-bronze mount on either side of the bottom of the seat rail, one 32cm. long (12 1/2in.) and the other 29cm. long (11 1/2in.) Upholstery in good condition. Minor old marks and signs of wear. Table: Old marks, cracks and scratches throughout, consistent with age and use. Some gilt-bronze mounts loose, lost or lifting to bottom edges. Visible crack to the bottom of one of the legs.
