A composite French silver-gilt part-toilet service, in a fitted rosewood case, illegibly marked, Paris, mid-19th century
comprising: a ewer and basin, the ewer with the Oberndorff arms to one side; a shaving mug, cover, stand, and burner; four circular toilet boxes, in three sizes; five rectangular toilet boxes, in four sizes; and two pairs of perfume bottles, in two sizes; the bodies profusely decorated with love birds among scrolling foliage and diaper-work, together with a dressing table mirror, unmarked, mounted on wood with brass strut and hanging-loop, all fitted  in a brass banded rosewood case inset with a coat-of-arms, post-1838 1st standard mark
