painted in puce camaïeu with portraits of emperors, nobility and figures from classical antiquity, each painted bust length, in profile to the left or right, titled, within a gilt cartouche of linked ovolos, comprising a bullet-shaped teapot and cover painted with Virgilius and Sappho, a hot-water jug and cover painted with the emperor Trajan and Plotina, a sugar bowl and cover painted with Cicero and Phocion, a milk jug and cover painted with Cimon and Timoleon, a cylindrical cup painted with Polyxena, two saucers painted with Aeneas and Dido and the two-handled quatrefoil tray painted with Julius Ceasar, with sceptre mark in underglaze blue, Pressnummern, and incised Dreher's mark

slight rubbing to gilding and central panel of tray, and some light rubbing throughout, one cylindrical cup missing
