  • The larger: 32 cm, 12 5/8  in.
each rising from a short foot to a flared rim, the interior painted with a scene of warriors on horseback beneath an overhanging willow tree, encircled by six panels of further warriors at the rim, the exterior decorated with panels of ruyi below floral sprays, the base with an apocryphal Chenghua mark within a double ring

Condition

As illustrated, the dish to the left has a circa 14 x 12cm V-shaped section of over-painting to the rim and well; the dish on the right has four crescent-shaped areas of over-painting to the rim (circa 8x4, 5x2, 5x2 and 8x3cm.) and a 1cm., shallow rim chip.
