A matched pair of Austrian/French silver vegetable dishes and covers, one, Franz Köll, Vienna, the other, Martin-Guillaume Biennais, Paris, respectively circa 1810 and 1809-19
beaded circular, each engraved with the Bourbon-Parma coat-of-arms, drapery cartouche and coronet, the detachable domed covers with die-struck anthemion borders, screw-on cone finials above pierced calyxes of stiff foliage and flowerheads, the first dish and cover engraved 'No. 36,' the underside of the second dish stamped 'BIENNAIS' and engraved '45'

The engraved arms are probably those of Maria-Luisa, Empress of France, Duchess of Parma (1791-1847).
