Condition
Excellent condition overall. Chips, scratches, marks and abrasions throughout consistent with the object’s age and use within the culture. Some very minor surface cracks travelling vertically down the mask. Three small cracks one to the bottom proper right, one to the upper proper left and one to the upper proper right, longest approximately 6cm long. Small area of insect damage above the proper left eye. Remains of red pigment visible throughout. Fine, dark, glossy patina. Small labels bearing Elizabeth Pryce collection inv. no. EP-72 and Michael Hamson number EP-72 to reverse of mask.
