Condition
Good condition overall. Chips, scratches, marks and abrasions throughout consistent with the object’s age and use within the culture. One large crack to top proper left travelling down approximately 18cm with chipping to the top. Large chip to the proper left side of the handle. Large crack to the proper right side approximately 35cm long, and to the proper left side approximately 40cm long travelling all the way to the bottom. Another crack from the bottom travelling up approximately 15cm. One further minor crack visible to reverse. Some insect damage and tracks. Minor fraying and damage to the woven fibres. Excellent preservation of the pigment. Label bearing Elizabeth Pryce collection inv. no. EP-205 on reverse of shield.
