This early print, on double-weight Agfa paper with pleasing smooth surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. It is exceptionally detailed and has nuanced wide-ranging tones. Upon close examination, there are two very small creases that do not appear to break the emulsion, near the lower left corner and along the upper left edge of the image. Only visible in raking light and upon very close examination are the following: several tiny glossy deposits that appear to be original retouching; and a long, thin, horizontal swipe mark in the upper right quadrant to the right of the cow's ear. There is very minor wear along the margin edges and the corners are bumped. On the reverse, the following is written in an unidentified hand in pencil: 'Cow w. straw in mouth,' '1978,' '820-3-10,' and 'ED 1/3.' There is a small adhesive remnant on the reverse.
