Condition
The canvas has been relined, re-stretched, cleaned, and restored. No major damages are visible to the naked eye. The paint surface is in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals three repaired damages of 2 x 4, 2 x 2 and 2 x 2 cm. in the lower foreground, and a repaired tear of 9 cm. centre right, and otherwise restorations is confined to a few local and minor retouchings. In overall very good condition. Offered in a fine French carved and gilt wood frame in good condition.
