Overall the condition of the wood is good, with wear and some dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is a loss to the proper right lower arm and the hand is lost. There are a few further losses, including to the proper left big toe, some fingertips on the proper left hand, and to the terrasse behind the figure. There is some evidence of past worming in these areas and more generally to the terrasse. There is also a possible loss to the figure's mouth. There are some remnants of polychromy, notably to the fig leaves.
The figure is placed on a later wood base which is carved in two sections. It has general wear, including some splitting and evidence of past worming.
