Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few minor nicks and scratches, including to the proper right arm, the proper left thigh, and to the integral base. An original stable casting joint and plug are slightly visible at the proper left shoulder. There is some wax residue beside the proper right foot. There are a few small original lacunae, notably to the integral base, as well as a few dark marks. There is some very minor flaking to the patina in areas, including at the proper left foot. The marble base is in good condition with some wear, including a few chips and abrasions to the edges and corners.
