Condition

Not viewed out of the frame. There is a patch adhered to the canvas at upper right when viewed from the reverse. The work presents well and is in fair condition. There is minor surface dirt and a thick, yellowed varnish. Craquelure and a few miniscule pin dot accretions visible in the sky. Frame abrasion scattered along lower and left edges. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. A few isolated retouches in the foreground and inpainting along the lower edge to address prior frame abrasion. In a gold frame with classical motifs.
