Condition

The canvas is thinly lined. Underneath a dirty varnish appears a decorative image. There is some inconsistency to the surface, like two spots at bottom center. Minor, tiny dots of loss are on foreground at bottom center. There is a thin scratch on the building's façade, between the second and third level, at far right. There is some strengthening to the paint visible to the naked eye on the sky at center right, above the clouds. Inspection under UV is difficult to read due to the old varnish, though it probably has some scattered spots of retouches here and there. Its appearance perhaps could improve with a light cleaning and revarnishing. Offered in a giltwood frame with loss throughout.
