拍品資料及來源

It is not known why Giandomenico executed his series of drawings with angels, putti and amorini, although this group could have been inspired by Giambattista's decoration of the Stanza dei Putti in Villa Valmarana, Vicenza (completed in 1557).  This sheet was once part of an album bound in simple paper boards, inscribed: 'DISEGNI A PENA DA CUADRETTI GIO: DOMENICO FIGLIO DI GIO: BATA': TIEPOLO CON ALCUNI DEL SUDETTO'.  The album, which bore the bookplate of Horace Walpole, was dismantled at the time of the Beauchamp sale in 1965.
