Condition
The pigments appear to be well preserved. The watercolour has been laid down onto a museum quality sheet.

Wiganthorpe Hall was demolished in 1955, but its original foundations date back to the twelfth century. The house was located near Terrington in Yorkshire and was constructed by William Garforth, who owned the estate from 1778. He commissioned the architect John Carr of York (1723-1807) in 1780 to replace the original Jacobean house with a Neo-classical design.
