Michiel van Huysum, son of the battle scene painter, Justus van Huysum the Elder (1659-1716), was active in Amsterdam as a still-life painter, producing images of fruit and flowers in watercolour and oil.
Laid down. Tip of the lower right corner missing. A few small tears and losses at the upper right margin. A small loss at the upper margin towards the right corner. Light scattered foxing. Colours remain fresh and vibrant.
