拍品資料及來源

Marc'Antonio Ziani was a leading composer of opera in Venice in the late seventeenth century. This letter marks the period of his greatest brilliance before he moved to Vienna.  Ziani was evidently close to Perti, and this letter may concern his own family: in another to him in 1703 he expresses despair at losing his wife. Perti was one of the leading composers of church music in Bologna, where he was organist at San Petronio. He was an important teacher; Padre Martini was among his pupils.
