Condition

RELIEF There are some minor nicks at intervals to the extreme corners and edges of the relief, some of which may be inherent to the board. The relief board is very slightly pulling apart at the lower left corner, only visible when viewed from the side. There are two small, vertical scratches, measuring max 1cm., at the centre of the upper edge. There is a further tiny shallow pinhead sized puncture in the upper left quadrant and one or two very minor shallow dents, which may be inherent to the board. There are some minor nicks and dents to the edges of the projecting elements. There are one or two spots of staining to the work, light surface dirt and one or two accretions. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The relief is floated within a new wooden box frame with a new backboard. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
