Condition

Unexamined out of frame. The sheet appears to be adhered to the mount with an adhesive tab at each corner. There are a couple of very tiny nicks to the extreme left edge, with one or two possible more minor nicks elsewhere. The sheet undulates slightly, in keeping with the Artist's materials and working methods. There might be slight surface dirt but this excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition. The work is float mounted and held behind glass in a composite wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.

The incomplete date probably indicates Moore's uncertainty when signing and dating this drawing prior to its inclusion in the 1970 Basel exhibition. The present work is recorded with the Henry Moore Foundation as HMF 1748.
