Mr. James Ebersole worked in India as a regional  sales manager for Eveready batteries.  Initially he was stationed in Madras (Chennai) and then from 1956 to 1960 in Calcutta, which is when this work was acquired.

Condition

There is slight creasing on the top right corner. Very minute cracking in the earring drops and tiny spots of loss in the white neckline are visible upon close inspection. There is a small abrasion and associated wear under the right eye of the Maiden. Mild discoloration in the black outlines. This work is in overall good condition, as viewed. It has not been examined outside its frame. Colors are brighter in reality especially the blue.
