This gouache work is highly stylised, as though the artist were searching for a means to arrive at the very essence of representation, after years of faithfully rendering the world figuratively. This work appears to be in good overall condition. There is a trace of an old vertical fold to the centre of the paper. By the upper left-hand area of thicker pigment and there are craquelures with few paint losses visible in the illustration. (IN GENERALE L'OPERA E' IN BUONE CONDIZIONI.
