The consignor is a relative of Mari Vik, the founder and owner of Galleri Koloritten, Stavanger, Norway. Raza held his first exhibition in Norway at this gallery in 1974 and then continued to exhibit there for over a decade.

Condition
There is a pinhole in each corner of the work and minor losses, rubbing and minute accreations around the edges. None of these are visible when framed. Light undulations are present, and there are irregularities to the paint surface, both of which are likely inherent.The painting is in very good overall condition, as viewed. This work will be included in S H Raza: Catalogue Raisonne, Volume II (1972 – 1985) currently under preparation by Anne Macklin and The Raza Foundation.
